What Vladonix is

Vladonix is the oral thymus peptide in the Cytomax range: a capsule of low-molecular-weight peptides extracted from the thymus glands of young calves, sold at around 10 mg per capsule as an immune-support supplement. It is the thymus member of Professor Khavinson's oral bioregulator line.

It matters to you, before anything else, that Vladonix is a crude organ extract in a capsule, not a defined single peptide and not an injectable. It is a mix of short peptides drawn from calf thymus, standardised by weight rather than by a known sequence.

Almost every sales page answers the evidence question with somebody else's data, and the swap is easy to miss.

Vladonix is not Thymalin, and not Thymogen

Vladonix is the oral capsule. Thymalin is the injectable thymus extract that carries the human cohort data. Thymogen is the synthetic dipeptide, glutamyl-tryptophan, a defined lab-made molecule.6

Three different products, three different formats, one shared origin story. When a vendor lends Thymalin's clinical history or Thymogen's pharmacology to a Vladonix capsule, they are swapping the thing that was studied for the thing you can swallow.

Why the capsule format changes everything

The human studies used injection. Vladonix is a peptide mixture you put through your stomach, and no published work establishes how much survives digestion to act systemically.

There is no published human trial of Vladonix itself. Its whole pitch rests on evidence generated with its injectable and synthetic siblings.

How Vladonix is proposed to work

The mechanism claimed for Vladonix rests on real thymus biology. The distance between that biology and a calf-thymus capsule is where the claim thins out.

Thymus involution and immune ageing

Your thymus is where T-cells are trained. It shrinks steadily with age, a process called involution, and that shrinkage is a genuine driver of the weaker immune response seen in older people. Reviews of thymus ageing treat this involution as central to immunosenescence.4,5

Vladonix is marketed straight into that decline: put thymus-derived peptides back in, the story goes, and a shrinking thymus edges back toward younger function.

The Khavinson bioregulator hypothesis

The wider claim is the Khavinson bioregulator idea: short peptides drawn from a given organ carry regulatory signals for that same organ, acting on gene expression to restore its function. Reviews from the originating group describe this as immunoendocrine cooperation and peptide-driven transcription.4,5

Taken at face value, thymus peptides should help an ageing thymus. The hypothesis says nothing about whether an oral capsule delivers any active peptide to your immune system.

The mechanism is a claim about injected thymus peptides. Stretching it to an oral capsule adds an unproven step, absorption, that the marketing simply skips. You are asked to accept the swallowed form works because the injected form has a mechanism.

What thymus peptides actually do in a cell

In cultured human stem cells, Thymalin raised CD28, a mature T-cell marker, by 6.8 times and cut the stem-cell markers CD44 and CD117 by 2-3 times.3 That is the injectable, in a dish, not the capsule.

What the Vladonix evidence actually shows

The marketing flattens three products into one. Below they stay separate: Vladonix the capsule, Thymalin the injectable, Thymogen the synthetic dipeptide.

Direct evidence on Vladonix itself

The brand-name capsule has never been the subject of an indexed clinical or laboratory study. Vladonix appears nowhere in the biomedical literature, under that spelling or any other.

Every claim made for Vladonix specifically rests on manufacturer material and on read-across from the thymus peptides below. The read-across is the entire case.

Human studies (all injectable Thymalin, all one group)

The headline numbers attached to "thymus peptides" come from the injectable Thymalin, studied by Khavinson's St Petersburg group alongside the pineal peptide Epithalamin.

Elderly cohort, 2003

Khavinson and Morozov assessed Thymalin and Epithalamin in 266 elderly and older persons over 6-8 years.1 They reported a 2.0-2.4-fold decrease in acute respiratory disease incidence, and a mortality decrease of 2.0-2.1-fold in the Thymalin-treated group versus controls. This is the source of nearly every immune claim you will see.

Combined regimen

In a subgroup given Thymalin with Epithalamin annually for 6 years, the same paper reported mortality falling 4.1 times relative to control.1 A Russian-language report of the same programme carries matching figures.2 Striking numbers, from an unblinded, non-randomised cohort run by the group that developed the drug.

We rate that cohort the strongest human evidence in this file, and it is unblinded, single-source and unreplicated. It also used injections, and it never involved Vladonix.

In-vitro studies (again, Thymalin)

Stem cells, 2020

Khavinson and colleagues reported that Thymalin pushed human haematopoietic stem cells toward mature T-cells, raising CD28 by 6.8 times and lowering CD44 and CD117 by 2-3 times.3 A clean cell-level signal for the injectable extract, and once more from the originating institute.

Taken at face value, the cell data gives the injectable extract a coherent mechanism. Nothing in it says swallowing a calf-thymus capsule reproduces that effect in your body.

Animal studies on injected thymus peptides and synthetic Thymogen

Rat models

Injectable thymus peptides appear across Russian animal work, for example a rat brain-oedema model using thymogen at 10 micrograms per kilogram and thymalin at 1.2 mg per kilogram.7 Useful for showing the injected doses studied, not relevant to an oral human capsule.

Synthetic Glu-Trp

The synthetic dipeptide glutamyl-tryptophan, the Thymogen molecule, has its own animal pharmacology, including gastroprotective and immunomodulating activity in rodent ulcer models.6 This is a defined lab molecule, a different product again from the crude oral extract you buy as Vladonix.

What remains unproven

There is no randomised, blinded, independently run human trial of Vladonix, and no published pharmacokinetic study showing that oral calf-thymus peptides reach your circulation intact.

None of that makes the capsule inert. It makes it a supplement whose entire case is inherited from an injectable, across a format gap the sellers do not mention.

Vladonix benefits: the claims, and what the evidence supports

Immune support is the claim with the best theory behind it and the least proof for this capsule. The two beside it travel further from the bottle rather than closer to it.

Immune support

Most plausible in theory, weakest in proof for the capsule. The thymus-and-immunity mechanism is real, and the injectable Thymalin has human respiratory-infection data,1 but none of it was generated with oral Vladonix.

T-cell restoration

Real in a dish for the injectable extract,3 unproven for the capsule in humans. Buying Vladonix "to rebuild your T-cells" is buying an in-vitro result for a different product and route.

Longevity or lower mortality

Least supported, and the claim we would push back on hardest. The mortality figures come from one unblinded injectable-Thymalin cohort run by the originating group.1 "Thymus peptides extend life" is a hypothesis carried over from the injection, not a finding about the capsule.

Longer life is the boldest thing on the label and it rests on one unblinded injectable cohort. The capsule you would actually buy has no direct human evidence of its own for anything.

The figures below describe what sellers print. No dose-finding trial exists for Vladonix, so the milligrams on the box are a manufacturing decision rather than a tested amount.

Typical vendor Vladonix dose and course length

Vladonix is usually sold at 10 mg per capsule, taken as one to two capsules once or twice daily with food, over a course of about a month, sometimes repeated twice a year. Those instructions come from the label and the Cytomax range convention, not from a published protocol for this capsule.

What the thymus-peptide research actually dosed

The human thymus-peptide data used injectable Thymalin in short courses, given for the first 2-3 years of a multi-year observation.1 The animal work likewise used injected microgram-to-milligram-per-kilogram doses.7

None of that maps onto an oral 10 mg capsule. If a page presents the injectable trial doses as evidence for a Vladonix course, it is stitching two different products together to make the capsule look tested.

Oral Vladonix versus injected Thymalin

The injectable route is the one the studies used. The oral route is the one being sold to you, and no evidence validates it.

A mixture of thymus peptides meets stomach acid and digestive enzymes before it could reach anything. How much arrives in your bloodstream intact has never been measured for this capsule.

Vladonix safety and side effects

The thymus-peptide studies that exist described their preparations as well tolerated, with no serious adverse events reported. Those studies ran on injections, in supervised cohorts.

Why "well tolerated" tells you little about Vladonix side effects

They were small and short, designed to find benefit rather than hunt for harm, and they tested the injectable. A quiet safety record produced by nobody looking is not a safety record you can lean on.

The risks that are actually likely with a calf-thymus capsule

Vladonix is a bovine tissue extract, so the concerns that matter are sourcing quality, contamination, and what the capsule actually contains. A supplement label guarantees none of the three.

A preparation aimed at modulating immune function deserves a second thought if you have an autoimmune condition or take immune-affecting medication. The long-term human safety of oral Vladonix is unstudied.

Who should be cautious with Vladonix

Anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding, since it is untested there; anyone with an autoimmune disease or on immunosuppressants, given the immune-modulating intent; and anyone dosing without a clinician who knows their history.

Deliberately nudging your immune system is not a decision to take on a product page. Put it to a doctor who knows your history first.

Where to buy Vladonix safely in the UK

Vladonix is a crude organ extract, which makes it harder to verify than a defined peptide like Epitalon. You cannot confirm a single sequence by mass spectrometry, because there is no single sequence to confirm. We treat that as the ceiling on any sourcing advice for this product.

What you can and cannot verify about a Vladonix batch

Ask the supplier for batch documentation, the source and age of the calf thymus, and any third-party testing for identity, contamination, and heavy metals. You are checking a manufacturing process, not a molecule, so provenance and testing are the most you can realistically demand.

Watch the evidence swap on a vendor listing

A Vladonix listing that leans on mortality figures, T-cell data or "clinical studies" is pointing at work done with injectable Thymalin. Check the product named in the study, not the product named on the page.

Either product is fine to buy knowingly. A listing that presents Thymalin's trials as proof for a Vladonix capsule is converting somebody else's data into a sales claim, and we would walk from a seller who does it.

Vladonix versus Thymalin and Thymogen

Vladonix sits at the weak end of the thymus-peptide trio on evidence. Thymalin, the injectable extract, holds the human cohort data and the in-vitro T-cell work.1,3 Thymogen, the synthetic glutamyl-tryptophan dipeptide, is a defined molecule with its own pharmacology.6 Vladonix is the oral extract with no direct study of its own.

If you want the format that was actually tested, that is the injectable, not the capsule. If you want a low-friction oral option and accept that you are betting on evidence never established for it, Vladonix is the gentler choice. What is the difference between Vladonix and Thymalin?

Format, and which one was actually studied. Both are calf-thymus Khavinson peptides, but Vladonix is an oral capsule sold as a supplement, while Thymalin is the injectable that carries the human trial data.1 The clinical numbers you see for "thymus peptides" almost always come from Thymalin, not the Vladonix capsule.

Is there any clinical research on Vladonix?

Not in the indexed literature. A PubMed search for "Vladonix" returns nothing. Its entire case is read across from the injectable Thymalin and, more loosely, the synthetic Thymogen, neither of which is the oral capsule you would swallow.

Does Vladonix boost the immune system?

Nothing has shown that the capsule does. The thymus-and-immunity mechanism is real, and injectable Thymalin showed a 2.0-2.4-fold drop in acute respiratory disease in one elderly cohort,1 but that was injected and single-source, and no study has tested oral Vladonix.

Is Vladonix legal and approved in the UK?

Can you take Vladonix with an autoimmune condition?

Not without asking your doctor first. Vladonix is sold on an immune-modulating premise, so an autoimmune condition or immune-affecting medication is the clearest reason to take advice before buying, and nothing has been published on how an oral thymus extract behaves in that situation.

Is Vladonix safe to take long term?

Nobody knows, because no long-term human study of the oral capsule exists. The reassuring "well tolerated" language comes from short studies of the injectable that were looking for benefit, not hunting for harm. A clean record belonging to a different product and a different route is not this capsule's record.
